If your sports items are not listed in the table the regular excess baggage rates apply. Most sports equipment can be included as part of your baggage allowance and if you re flying with golf clubs you can take one golf bag for free in addition to your checked baggage allowance. Golf equipment packed in a protective bag or case will count as an item of your your checked baggage. There s plenty of room for pushchairs wheelchairs skis and saxophones too.

Sports equipment can be transported free of charge as hold baggage provided it does not exceed the allowed weight and dimensions extra charges will apply only if taking more baggage than permitted in your travel class or if it exceeds the maximum volume or weight allowance. If your sports baggage is not listed in the sports baggage rules the transport of your baggage will be charged in. When flying to most destinations please follow our check in luggage guidance for weight and dimensions. Sports equipment bags and cases can t contain clothing or other personal items. Clothes and other personal items must not be packed in your golf bag with your clubs.

If your kit exceeds these amounts you will be charged for having excess baggage. If the sporting equipment exceeds free allowed limits the charge from the table applies. Due to various types of aircrafts there is a limited space for sports equipment in the baggage hold therefore some items may not be accepted. Handbags or laptop sized bags are guaranteed to travel in the cabin as hand baggage.

Sports baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance and the weight limit of the respective travel class but does not exceed the maximum weight of 32 kg will be charged in accordance with the flat rates for sports baggage. They must be used only to carry sports equipment.
